Archil Bakuradze

Chairman

Archil Bakuradze is a financier and technology entrepreneur who believes in using responsible business to empower the marginalized. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board for JSC MFO Crystal – Georgia’s leading non-banking financial institution. A Chevening Scholar and MBA graduate from the University of Lancaster, Archil was Chairman of the Georgian Microfinance Association and led the Coalition for Financial Literacy. He is the founder and former Executive Director of CHCA, Georgia’s leading aid agency supporting Internally Displaced Persons. He is a proud fellow of the John Smith Trust (2000) and remains committed to promoting youth entrepreneurship, women’s economic empowerment and robust parliamentary democracy. He received the prestigious Van Heuven Goedhart award for commitment to displaced persons from the Dutch Refugee Foundation Stichting Vluchteling (2003) and was named among 35 Global Chevening Changemakers in 2019.

Keith Young is an International Chairman of Enterprise and Parliamentary Dialogue International (EPDI). He is an Entrepreneur with considerable expertise in the publishing, communications and new technology industries. He has been the Executive Chairman of cScape Group plc and on the Board Group NBT plc, he co-founded. He holds a Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, also has a broad background of investment and management of companies in several other sectors. Keith Young has been a longstanding investor in JSC Mobile Finance Eurasia, one of the Georgia’s pioneers in electronic payments and in the JSC MFO Crystal, Georgia’s leading non-banking financial institution.

Frederick R Hyde-Chambers OBE

Fredrick R Hyde-Chambers is an Executive Chairman of Enterprise and Parliamentary Dialogue International (EPDI) and a Member of the Board of Business and Economic Centre (BEC) – the Public-Private Dialogue (PPD) Platform in the Parliament of Georgia. He has more than 40 years of experience working with Parliaments. He founded the Industry and Parliament Trust (IPT), the first Business and Parliament Dialogue Centre in the UK Houses of Parliament which is now an established resource for both Houses of Parliament and senior officers. With his active participation, similar Dialogue Centres were established in sixteen countries, ranging from New Zealand and Finland to Moldova and Georgia. In 2003 Fredrick R Hyde-Chambers received an OBE for his services to Parliament and the business community.

Alu Gamakharia has been a member of the Board of Crystal Fund from its inception. He has been Chairman of Charity Humanitarian Centre Abkhazeti (CHCA) since 1995, Director of the Association of Peaceful and Business Caucasus since 2004 and Head of Legal Entity of Abkhazian A.R. Business Incubator since 2014. He has also served as the President of JSC ORGTEKNIKA, General Director of SUKHUMKHELSATSKO – one of the largest high technology enterprises in Abkhazia and as a Chief Lecturer at the State University of Abkhazia for many years. Since 1995, he has been actively involved in Abkhaz-Georgian and trans-Caucasian peacebuilding initiatives, among them COBERM – a joint EU-UNDP initiative for fostering a peaceful transformation of conflicts. In 2008, the International Federation for World Peace recognized Alu Gamakharia as an Ambassador of Peace.
